Rogelio Arvizu, who turned 50 on Christmas day, was charged with stabbing and killing his estranged 49-year-old wife Guadalupe Morales, their 17-year-old son Dylan Arvizu, and attempting to stab and kill their 27-year-old son, according to authorities in York County and court documents.

The call to the first reported stabbing of multiple people at 950 East Walnut Street in Hanover Borough came into the York County Office of Emergency Management at 10:10 a.m. on Dec. 28, Public Information Officer Ted Czech told Daily Voice.

The older son was found outside the home with "severe injuries," police later said.

He "indicated that other family members were inside the residence," the police stated in a release.

Soon the police found Morales and her younger son stabbed to death.

The 27-year-old son was taken to WellSpan York Hospital and is expected to survive, according to one of the coroner's reports on these stabbings.

The call to the second stabbing at 933 Broadway, also in Hanover, came in at 11:55 a.m., Czech explained. Rogelio Arvizu was found lying in the roadway bleeding. EMS loaded him onto a bed, then police handcuffed him, according to witnesses. He was also taken to WellSpan York Hospital, where he died, the coroner's office explained.

He is believed to have stabbed himself leading to his death and the dismissal of the charges.

The autopsy to confirm the murder-suicide and all three persons' causes and manners of deaths are pending the results of autopsies which have been scheduled at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, for 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30.

The Hanover Borough Police Department, York County Sheriff’s Department, York County Forensics Team, York County Coroner's Office, and Hanover Area Fire and Rescue EMS all responded to the scene.
